Completed: 12/16/11
I had a lot of fun trying to figure out titles for the What’s in a Name? 3 challenge, so I’m signing up again this year.
The rules: Between January 1 and December 31, 2011, read one book in each of the following categories:
- A book with a number in the title
- A book with jewelry or a gem in the title
- A book with a size in the title
- A book with travel or movement in the title
- A book with evil in the title
- A book with a life stage in the title
Not quite sure what my list will be (I’ll probably change it as I go along), but I’m thinking:
- Number: 32 Candles by Ernessa T. Carter [review]
- Jewelry or Gem: Emerald City: Stories by Jennifer Egan [review]
- Size: Let’s Take the Long Way Home by Gail Caldwell
- Travel/movement: Flight by Sherman Alexie
- Evil: A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
- Life Stage: Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott [review]
Wrap up comments:
Whew! I didn’t think I was going to finish this on account of the “evil” category. But I had fun with this challenge. I’m not usually one for tears when reading, but a whopping three of the books made me cry: Let’s Take the Long Way Home, Flight, and A Monster Calls. I look forward to the 2012 challenge!

Wanted to stop by and say I’m so glad you decided to join in the fun of What’s in a Name 4. I like your tentative titles for the categories. Hope you have fun with this one.
