What’s in a Name? 4

Completed: 12/16/11

I had a lot of fun trying to figure out titles for the What’s in a Name? 3 challenge, so I’m signing up again this year.

The rules: Between January 1 and December 31, 2011, read one book in each of the following categories:

  1. A book with a number in the title
  2. A book with jewelry or a gem in the title
  3. A book with a size in the title
  4. A book with travel or movement in the title
  5. A book with evil in the title
  6. A book with a life stage in the title

Not quite sure what my list will be (I’ll probably change it as I go along), but I’m thinking:

  1. Number: 32 Candles by Ernessa T. Carter [review]
  2. Jewelry or Gem: Emerald City: Stories by Jennifer Egan [review]
  3. SizeLet’s Take the Long Way Home by Gail Caldwell
  4. Travel/movement: Flight by Sherman Alexie
  5. Evil: A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
  6. Life StageLiving Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott [review]

Wrap up comments:

Whew! I didn’t think I was going to finish this on account of the “evil” category. But I had fun with this challenge. I’m not usually one for tears when reading, but a whopping three of the books made me cry: Let’s Take the Long Way Home, Flight, and A Monster Calls. I look forward to the 2012 challenge! 🙂

  1. Wanted to stop by and say I’m so glad you decided to join in the fun of What’s in a Name 4. I like your tentative titles for the categories. Hope you have fun with this one.
